Thankful Reflection

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is difficult for me to believe that I have let more than a month pass without posting here on my blog. I have had every intention of sharing in the past month, and have gone so far as beginning a blog post.  That blog post remains unfinished and perhaps may never be published.

My lack of posting is not due to a lack of focus on my photography.  Perhaps I have been even more focused than ever in the past month.

I am currently working on a personal project that has me photographing every day.  I enjoy working on this project and look forward to all that it will teach me over the next five years.  The project is allowing me to reflect.

Reflecting in Red

I have been learning a great deal with my online studies.  The things I am learning are making me question, assess, and explore.  I am so grateful for the ability to stretch myself with my creative work.  The resources that are at our fingertips today amaze me!

I have had the joy to be able to share my passion for photography recently with groups and have plans to be able to share with more groups  next year.  I am so thankful for these opportunities to meet and share with other photographers who are traveling along their creative paths.

Changes

As I observe the beauty of the changes all around me this fall, I realize that I, too, am changing.  My studies and work with photography are beginning to lead me in new and exciting directions.  As I share in my presentation, Follow Your Own Path, it is important to go where things lead you.  I will continue to follow this magical path that I have been traveling for the past ten years with photography.  I look forward to seeing where the next bend in the path leads.

Reflection

Reflection on past learning will certainly help in future projects.

I am so thankful!  I am thankful for how my life was transformed when I began really seeing the world through my camera.  I am thankful for every person who has helped me along my path with their friendship, help, and instruction.  I am thankful for all of you who take time to visit my blog to support me in that manner.

Mostly, I am thankful for my family who supports me through all of it.  I cannot wait to begin sharing time with them beginning this weekend.

Have a joyous Thanksgiving with those you love!  Life is a gift!

I am a travel and fine art photographer living and working in the Carolinas. My camera has taken me to places I never would have experienced and to people I never would have met. Photography has truly changed my life! Using my blog, I hope to share the joys of both travel and photography.
