Saying Goodbye to the Sunflowers

Each summer, I spend a great deal of time photographing in the sunflower fields.  I find it increasingly more challenging to walk away with a different image than

It just doesn’t feel like summer until I spend time in a sunflower field.  Friday was my first trip to spend time in the fields.

I talked a great friend and fellow photographer into meeting me at

I found this quote and feel that the photographer with a camera also has the universe in his/her mind and hands.  The challenge lies in how we capture the universe creatively using our cameras.

I thoroughly enjoy every second of summer vacation.  For the past ten years, it just has not felt like summer until I find myself in a field of sunflowers.  Luckily, there is a field of gorgeous flowers that I can reach in a half an hour’s drive  from my home.  I was thrilled when I saw a friend’s post on social media which let me know that the sunflowers were already in bloom.

Reflecting Upon 2015 (Part Two)

Last time, I shared with you my favorite images taken in the winter and spring of 2015.  Today I would like to share my favorites from summer and fall.

My summer folder is always filled with more images than any other folder.  This is not necessarily because it is my favorite season.  The reason my summer folder is so much fuller is
