I absolutely love when people live imaginatively.  Creativity adds so much joy to life.

Several months ago, inspired by Keith Carter’s book, From Uncertain to Blue, I decided

I would like to explore interesting places I have not already visited in my state, South Carolina.    Going for a drive or ride with my husband, Randy, to discover these locations has been a great way to spend time and leave my worries in the rear view mirror for the time we are on our adventures.

Last weekend, after searching online for an interesting destination, I chose the UFO Welcome Center.

The UFO Welcome Center is located in Bowman, South Carolina.  Bowman is a small town of about 1,000 people in Orangeburg County.

The drive was beautiful and took us away from the busyness of life in the area where we live.

The UFO Welcome Center is located in the yard of Jody Pendarvis.  I was disappointed that I did not get a chance to meet Jody on the day of our visit.  I would have enjoyed hearing his story.

The Welcome Center was an amazing sight to behold in its entirety, and in the smaller details that made up the whole.

For my 52Frames project, I needed a picture of a chair.  I found the perfect chair at the entrance to the Welcome Center.

The interior of the Welcome Center was an assemblage of odds and ends.

There was even a guest book.

I really haven’t given much thought to UFOs or Aliens past my love for the movie E.T.

However, if they did exist, I am sure they would feel extremely welcomed thanks to the efforts of Jody Pendarvis.

I am personally thankful to Jody for a day’s adventure and escape from worries during my visit.
