Georgia in Autumn

“I love the Autumn,
And yet I cannot say
All the thoughts and things
That make me feel this way.”

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Autumn is my favorite season (until the spring colors begin to display).  Since I am so drawn to vibrant colors, autumn

presents so many delights for me to photograph.

Each year, I make sure to visit my favorite places in order to photograph the fall colors.  I always enjoy photographing in the mountains of North Carolina, and for the past decade, I have made a point to try to capture fall in Georgia.  In Georgia, Gibbs Gardens and Old Car City are two of my go-to locations for photographing in the fall.  Both destinations are so rich with visual stimulation and photographic possibilities.

The Japanese Gardens within Gibbs Gardens are bursting with color in November each year.

Within an hour’s drive of the gardens is Old Car City.  Old Car City is a mixture of nature, more than 4,000 old cars, plus art and installations created by the owner, Dean Lewis.

I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to co-lead a workshop with Jamie Konarski Davidson exploring both of these locations plus more in November of 2023.  We would love to have you join us!
