Scavenger Hunt Reveals: Composites Twenty-five, Twenty-six, Twenty-seven, and Twenty-eight

“Creativity takes courage. ”
― Henri Matisse

The past seven days have been filled with great, anticipated fun.  Each day a different word was revealed on Google Plus as interpreted by between 100 and 150 photographers.  It always amazes me how creative this group can be with their interpretations of each word.

This is the first hunt that I have stuck to any kind of theme.  The first word I created an image for, trunk, led me to the zoo in order to create what I wanted for the word.  Once I got on the path of animals, I just kept going with it.  This is my image for the word trunk.

Trunk

I thought the elephant would naturally stand on Houdini’s trunk.  I found and photographed the trunk at the Grove Park Inn.

Animals remained the theme as I created this image for the word sign.

Forced Perspective was possibly the one that took the longest to settle upon an idea.  I first looked up the definition of forced perspective.  You can see this definition as given by Wikipedia here.  I tried to come up with another angle of forced perspective.  With my husband Randy’s help, I came up with this.

Forced Perspective

The final word that I created an image for was wonder.

Wonder

It took several trips to zoos in the Carolinas and two trips to the fair to get the images to use for the word wonder.

I enjoyed every second creating these images.  I learned a ton along the way, as well.

I am looking forward to the 25th Round Scavenger Hunt.  Although sadly, Google Plus will soon be no more, this scavenger hunt will continue using a different platform.
